2026 Convening
August 28-29, 2026
The Boots on the Ground (BOTG) Organizing and Regional Coalitions are initiatives designed to build leadership and increase effectiveness of local neighborhood leaders and to spark, build and grow community movements. BOTG is a community collective of leaders, activists, advocates, systems impacted people, diverse professionals and subject matter experts committed to centering organizing as a core strategy and democratically working to build a collective vision for short, mid and long-term electoral and community wins.
What This Convening Is
The 2026 Boots on the Ground Annual Convening is a two-day public event — Friday, August 28 (Training Day) and Saturday, August 29 (Community Day) — anchored by two internal prep days on August 26 and 27. It is the operational hinge between the coalition's organizing infrastructure and the November 3 and December 12 electoral cycle.
This is not a conference. It is a deployment. Every element — every training track, every plenary,
every door knocked in the Friday Blitz — is oriented toward the question: are we ready to win in
North Louisiana this fall?
