Boots on the Ground Organizing (BOTG)
The Boots on the Ground (BOTG) Organizing and Regional Coalitions are initiatives designed to build leadership and increase effectiveness of local neighborhood leaders and to spark, build and grow community movements. BOTG is a community collective of leaders, activists, advocates, systems impacted people, diverse professionals and subject matter experts committed to centering organizing as a core strategy and democratically working to build a collective vision for short, mid and long-term electoral and community wins.
Survival Programs or Mutual Aid ASAP coordinates organizations, individuals, institutions and resources to meet people at their point of need, and empower them with the tools to determine their civic destiny. These Survival Programs include food and water distributions, medical support, transportation, and errand assistance for elders and parents in need. Our work during the Queensborough Tornadoes of 2018, The 2020 Pandemic, Winter Storm of 2021, 2022 Louisiana Hurricanes, and 2025 food distributions in 5 rural Louisiana cities in light of the elimination of food assistance programs.
